A couple years ago I saw on TV somewhere that people were using dogs as a way to detect cancer. Now, scientists at the University of Oklahoma are creating a “cancer detector” inspired by these dogs. It detects cancer in the breath of patients.

In a study published two years ago, it was found that dogs identified breast and lung cancer patients with accuracies of 88% and 97%, respectively by smelling breath samples.

Just one more example of how amazing animals are.
