I love tabouli. I especially love to take it for lunch when I’m working at the veggie stand during summers. When eating it in public place, I usually get a lot of questions about what I’m eating. So here’s some information on tabouli.
0032Tabouli (also spelled tabbouleh) is a middle eastern grain, made of bulgar. Traditionally, it can be served with grape or lettuce leaves (something I haven’t but want to try!). Most people mix in olive oil, tomatoes, lemon, and herbs such as mint or parsley.

My favorite way to eat it is with a couple tablespoons of olive oil, a large diced tomato, the juice of 1 lemon, 2 pickling cucumbers, and parsley. Just spoon it out and enjoy! I’ve also tried it in a wrap with lettuce, and although it was very good, it was very messy.

The best part is that tabouli is healthy! So you don’t feel bad after eating a bowl of it.
