If you cook as much as I do, you’re probably also aware that with all those delicious meals comes piles upon piles of dirty dishes. And washing dishes is seriously a bummer.
However, I’ve recently discovered that adding 1 Tbs of baking soda to the dishwater reduces the amount of elbow grease needed. I start the dishwater as I normally would, put in the dishes, and then add that 1 Tbs to the hot water. I let the dishes soak for 5-10 minutes, and the baking soda makes any traces of food or grime just fall off. Washing dishes is so much easier and faster now.
Just something I wanted to share. 🙂 Anyone else know of great baking soda uses?

Some people have dishwashers… But not me and you!
Great tip, I will use that instead of waiting until they are really caked on and I have to bring out the ol’ SOS pad to them!
