My kitty is adorable, isn’t he?
Flava Flav’s been having some problems recently, so today my boyfriend and I took him to the vet. On the ten minute drive over there, he peed on himself. While I was waiting for the vet to see him, I cleaned out his cat carrier with some paper towels and tried to wipe him off as best I could where I was. I felt so bad for him, since he didn’t really know what was going on, and he couldn’t have liked sitting in his own urine.
After the vet gave him, he said kitty would be fine and they gave him a couple of pills on the spot to cure his ailment. Minor stuff, thankfully. I put him in the cleaned out carrier and bought him home. Immediately, I ran him a bath, assuming that as soon as he hit the water he would claw out my eyes.
Surprisingly, my cat loves taking a bath. Really. He was sticking his own head under the faucet. I’ve never seen anything like it. However, he struggled fiercely while I tried to dry him off. I adore my weird kitty.
I also got a new cookbook today! I recently won a copy of Vegan Desserts by Hannah Kaminsky on the Chow Vegan blog. I got it in the mail today, and although I haven’t made anything out of it yet, it is one of the most beautifully designed cookbooks I’ve ever seen. It’s full of beautiful pictures (readers of her blog will know what to expect) and delicious looking recipes. I can’t wait to start cooking some of her desserts! Obviously, I’ll be blogging about them too.
